I am very impressed with both the ProStirrer™ and the ProJig™. I am in the process of opening a new bar and will definitely be ordering more of your products. He has a couple of your jiggers, unfortunately they are the metric ones, so he has difficulty converting the measurements, but he loves them as well. Some say the difference between a gourmet chef and a plain old cook is the expertise with which he uses his knives. The same can be said about bartenders; cutting edge mixologists are just as serious about the quality of the tools contained in their bar kit. In the past I have advocated the stainless steel jigger, along with the standard stainless steel strainers that are widely available. I still maintain that they serve their purpose very well. Recently however, I have been introduced to Uber Bar Tools and I'm finding they are slowly replacing my old standbys. Uber Bar tools are made from high quality heavy gauge stainless steel and are nearly indestructible. Their elegant design features add beauty to the drink presentation while not interfering with easy, smooth functionality. The pour spots are uniquely designed so that the pourer unscrews from the neck apparatus, allowing you to soak overnight for cleaning, and the cork part that fits into the neck of the bottle has a snap-in lid to protect against fruit flies, a great innovation I have not seen before.

After years of working to improve the quality and integrity of mixed drinks behind my bar, it's empowering to be joined by a manufacturer who looks at bar tools the way I think about cocktails. For me, Michael Silvers collection of "Uber" bar tools represents the most earnest attempt to overhaul the machinery used to mix drinks. The ingenious pour spouts, which fit almost any bottle are easy to clean, measure pours correctly and come with an enclosure to seal the bottle at the end of the night. The triangular julep strainer, shaped like a stingray, draws attention from guests and other bartenders every time I pull it out of my kit. Each and every piece in the collection takes form and function in mind not to mention style and durability.

I learned about your products from the bartender at the Hotel Monte Leone in New Orleans during Tales of the Cocktail. After going through around 10 different sized and designed jiggers for our bars, the compartmentalized jigger (ProJig) is what really impressed me. I really liked the design on the strainer (StrainRay) he was using too…elegant and refined…it gave him a heightened legitimacy amongst the numerous bar professionals. Great products.

There is no other product in the world that can come close to comparing with ÜberBarTools™ products. For years I had to import my own bar products from overseas in an attempt to have better quality tools for my bars. Although imported products were better than anything available in Australia they still had a very poor and short shelf life. Pourers being the worst. They come apart when removing from a bottle and we all know once they come apart they become a throwaway item. As 2008 Bartender of the Year, and owner operator of 1806, winner of the Best Cocktail List in the World at 2008 Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, we use, recommend and enjoy all the Uber Tools equipment. My personal favourites are the Pro Flow pourers, accurate, sturdy, and they just don't leak. My other fave is the Pro Measure, the only jigger that can measure 5, 10, 15, and 30ml increments. It also pours from a corner so you can measure from a height and still accurately pour into a glass or shaker with a little bit of flare and elan! 1806 is also part of a Registered Training Office and we conduct industry Best Practice Training using what we believe are the industry's best tools.
